How To Introduce Kojonup Feeds Pellets
Whether it’s your first time using our pellets or it’s your hundredth time. There are guidelines that must be followed to safely introduce pellets to your stock to avoid any feed-related deaths.
- DO NOT feed to hungry stock.
- Use Kojonup Feeds Starter pellets for 5 – 7 days as an introduction onto Kojonup Feeds Finisher pellets.
- Ensure there is a consistent supply of pellets, especially when on Finisher pellet ration.
- Hay & Straw can be made available for the first week.
- The Starter ration allows animals to adapt to a high grain ration safely.
- Ideally fill feeders with Finisher pellets whilst there are still some starter pellets available.
- Provide access to good quality drinking water at all times.
- Should pellet supply run out for any reason, Starter pellets MUST be used again before re-introduction onto Finisher ration.
